SMART Training Dates:

  • Friday, January 30, 2026 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM: In-Person - Killeen Police Department - 3304 Community Blvd, Killeen, TX 76542

  • Implementation TBD February/March 2026 (two consecutive days held virtually)

 

The comprehensive 32-hour program includes:

  • 16 Hours of instruction with our Lead Trainer, held over 2 days in-person

  • Program Implementation training with John W. Denninger, MD, PhD, Director of Integrative Science and Clinical Training, Benson-Henry Institute for Mind Body Medicine, Massachusetts General Hospital, and Instructor in Psychiatry, Harvard Medical School (virtually)

  • All course materials

  • Instructor Training

  • Mentoring sessions

  • Quarterly National First Responder SMART Peer Trainer meetings
